MEANING OF CULTURE
… Culture… a gigantic cloud of traditions, beliefs, knowledge,
social customs, laws, history, music, dance, images, clothes, food,
greetings, trends, social roles, ways of behaving…and a way to see and understand
life. Culture is man's tool to be able to live in
society and the tool that develops that
society. It is essential to know the significance of
culture, how it has affected how we are and to understand how we see life.
Some sociologists and anthropologists make astonishing comparisons between
culture and the way software works in computers. Studies in this field
have shown that when we are born we start from "zero", in other words, we
do not have in ourselves any knowledge or way of behaving that guides us.
Everything that we develop, our understanding and what we are, we owe to
our learning, our learning of our culture. In any other animal species on the planet,
the social relationships between individuals in the community are guided
by instincts. Let’s look at two very social species such as African
termites and the common bee: within these animal communities all have a
clear roll. Some individuals are food carriers, others look after eggs
laid by the queen, some are guards armed with uncommonly large teeth used
to attack predators, others travel many kilometres in search of new
nesting grounds… All of this social network helps the community meet its
basic needs of gathering provisions, constructing nests, rearing of the
young, looking after the queen…etc. In the case of African termites they
even have even developed a refrigeration system…! This complex distribution of tasks has been
created by natural evolution. Nature creates different species and
develops their instincts so that they adapt to their surroundings, thus
allowing the perpetuation of the species and the order within the group.
It seems that these animals are not conscious of their activities, as they
do not question what they do. These types of changes occur after hundreds
of generations, thousands of years, everything being orientated towards
creating an equilibrium between the individual creatures and their
environment. For example, in the case of African termites: if their
alimentary needs change due to a drastic increase in population, evolution
will start to try and incorporate different food options into their diet
so that the animals start eating a different grain or carrion to permit
this species to adapt to its population size so the species as a whole is
able to survive. If what changes is the environment where this particular
species lives, for example it starts to become more humid and more prone
to floods so much so that it endangers the survival of the species,
evolution will instil the intelligence necessary in the animal, so that
they will construct their mounds on water resistant clay or that they
carry the larvae up a tree to safety, and wait until it is safe to return
to the ground and make a new home. This is an evolution of instinct,
species and environment. All three develop, evolve and adapt as one
organism in unison. Man was like this before, he was another
animal on earth. He adapted to the changes in his environment through the
evolution of his instincts. However, after the mental "big-bang" of
consciousness, his instincts disappeared and gave way to culture, which
then served as a way to adapt, evolve and preserve the species. In other
words, his animal instincts evolved into
culture. With this new tool, the evolution of the
human species did not have to sit and wait generations for a change to
happen in their behaviour. This animal could change and adapt its
behaviour very quickly. Around 15 000 and 10 000 BC this animal stopped
being a hunter-gatherer and started to cultivate in a fixed spot. In this
way the first human settlement was created. All of this pre-gained
knowledge that the people had become their culture; how to build a house
of mud or stones, ways of farming, how to carve wood, how to dry and cure
food so it may be stored… etc. During this time, there arose new positions
or roles that needed to be played in this society such as: guards to watch
over and protect the settlement, education for youngsters, food merchants,
midwives, experts on the quality of the earth used for farming, experts in
land distribution, experts in mathematics and writing… all of these roles
did not exist 2000 years before and it is thanks to this tool, culture,
that has allowed humans to evolve so quickly as a species, much quicker
than any other. Instincts could not have given us the society and all we
have today, it was in fact liberation from our instincts that allowed us
to explore and transmit ideas and knowledge in such a direct way, through
language. The main difference between culture and our
instincts is that culture is cognitive, in other words, it is something
that has to be learned. All of our knowledge; traditions, religions,
social habits, ways of dressing, ways of expressing ourself, language…etc,
all of these things make up "culture", something which we begin learning
from the cradle without cease, as all of society instructs, guides, and
shows us how one should act. Culture is very easy to transmit. It can be
as simple as to go to another village or city and talk to people about how
to do things where they come from, or show someone a new object from
another culture such as an artefact, a religion, a fashion… all of these
things are representative of culture. Just think how our way of life has changed
since the medieval age to the age of the iphone.
99% of our cultural evolution has taken
place within the sector of technological development, and our society has
developed along with the technologies and the possibilities these
technologies produce. It has been this technological culture that have
allowed the population to grow from 310 million in the year 1000 AC to
more than 7 thousand million (or 7 billion) in present day.
In view of the present data, we would be
correct in thinking that this tool has worked incredibly well, in
converting this animal into the owner of the planet, the "top-dog",
unstoppable and unsurpassable… However, repeating the concept: our culture
and our society has almost ONLY evolved in the technological sector,
leaving a large gap in other human qualities such as knowledge, wisdom,
spirituality, happiness, awareness, charity, humanitarianism…
"It has become terribly obvious that our
technology has exceeded our humanity". Albert Einstein.
It can be said that in many ways our
culture is badly orientated, although it is true that development through
culture has been incredible. In the beginning, culture served its function
to help this animal without instinct to adapt and survive in this world.
However, maybe because of the lack of contact with its surroundings and
spirituality or the sudden availability of so many products, this animal
lost his roots with nature. He lost all contact with other animals and
developed attitudes and behaviours completely "un-natural" and
"in-human". In the very early cultures, culture was
balanced, because there was spirituality. One very important member of all
the tribes since the beginning of man was the shaman; the wizard, the
healer, the spiritual guider who looked after the health and the spirit of
its members. This figure or social role knew about the plants, the
spirits, the stars, the jungle or the desert, depending on where the tribe
was. This shaman kept the sacred rules of the tribe so as not to offend
the spirits of the sky or the earth, they made offerings or sacrifices,
but most importantly, kept up the relationship between the people and the
earth where they lived. The shamans maintained the memory of the people
who were part of the tribe and no longer were there: the ancestors. The
presence of the shaman also existed so that people would respect and look
after the earth where they lived, and they would love the earth which
allowed them to eat. In other words, religion or mysticism was a principal
part of society and had positive implications on the morale and conduct of
the tribe. People behaved in the following way: they took advantage of all
the earth’s natural resources, but never took more than what they needed,
always respecting mother nature who gave them food and shelter….keeping
the balance. Societies were small, self-sufficient and
in harmony with the environment on which they depended. They were in the
forests of North America, on the slopes of Mongolia, in deserts in the
North of Africa, in the Amazon Rainforest, in the African coast, in the
islands of Indonesia…These cultures, thanks to their spirituality, stayed
in contact with nature, learned from it, flowed with life's changes and
respected mother earth. In these cultures, there were special
moments for dances, drums and music in general, for people lived happily
because they were alive and there. Music is happiness and drums make the
earth and the heart of, he who plays them, vibrates. In most of these
cultures, music served as a spiritual union between its members and their
environment. These moments created a great union in the group of people
gathered, for it was an activity in which all participated; dancing,
playing an instrument or singing… In our present culture, this situation of
mutual enjoyment within a group of people has been substituted for; going
to a fashionable bar, watching the television or playing a game of
football. In these situations, people are not sharing a traditional
activity, and the activity generally, is not artistic, creative or
spiritual. These activities in our culture are not part of an old
knowledge guided by a shaman or a keeper of traditions,…they are social
tendencies without any real benefit for the community or the individuals.
In our present society, group activities are not designed to enrich the
spirit, unite us and make us happy, but to rob us from the freedom of our
spirit, separate us as individuals and pressurise us with debt and
consumerism. There also arose large cultures like the
Egyptians who abused and enslaved millions of people in order to give
offerings to cult gods, who had nothing to do with our nature. Those
shamans or spiritual guides did not worry so much about the community
anymore and mainly followed the orders of the powerful, who had converted
the shaman into a king or godlike figure who was only interested in great
riches, temples and gold. Now, the earth and the spirits were not the
object of the cult, the splendour and wealth were the object of the cult.
There were also periods of famine and misery due to bad cultivation and
miss-usage of natural resources in this era. All this seems to have been a result of the
gradual increase in the city's size due to the increase in population. Man
started to loose contact with the spirits of the earth and his ancestors.
Man lost his wisdom, and now nobody praises the spirits of the earth, they
praise the gods of other dimensions,…possibly mental dimensions. However,
mystical and theological evolution is another
debate. It would seem that this type of
macro-culture disconnects us from the earth and the heart. In a city of
thousands or millions of people in which it is difficult to know and
communicate with all individuals, and in which the shaman cannot watch
over all souls in the community because there are too many. If you put too
many people together, there will be no room for the spirit. In a community
of this large size, there arose new necessities: forms of communication,
written laws, guardians of these laws, means of transport, storage and
distribution of food, goods and of course the leaders or Kings who made a
living of the product of these large
societies…. Humans have many other things to offer,
aside from a calculating mind: we are emotional, we have a heart and a
conscience and are able to be spiritual…. Man continued his evolution, and his
development produced technology. In Europe and America, there was an
explosive development in industrial technology. Due to the ease of
spreading these technologies (better techniques and tools ever more
complex), there was an explosion in production, an industrial revolution:
wood companies, farming corporations, transport companies for raw
materials and products, textile companies, leather companies, furniture
companies, tobacco companies, paper companies, food conserve companies…and
oil companies to feed all of them. All types of different companies and
corporations were born thanks to the accumulation and development of
technological knowledge. These businesses needed more and more primary
materials to continue producing their products, more and more energy with
which to move the industrial machinery… but really what motivated such
activity… is that the owners were making serious money, and accumulating
more and more power. Just like the Egyptian semi-gods who
coveted so many riches… Cultural evolution in the West is not
completed or balanced, it has only evolved through technology, not through
wisdom, spirituality, and moreover, spirituality has being annihilated.
The human conscience has not evolved neither, it may have in fact
"dissolved". The knowledge that is learned at school is meant to orientate
those individuals into being producers and consumers in the society,
nothing more, and nothing less. In the original cultures, there were wise
and balanced modes of conduct, in synchronisation with nature that assured
the well-being of the people in that group. They looked after the women
and children in that group, the men were warriors and hunters, and they
had animals for company and for food. They lived to live, to enjoy life,
to enjoy living together and the beauty which was surrounding them. They
honoured the spirits of the earth and their ancestors.
In the nineteenth century, when the
industrial revolution began, people were not living for the joy of living
but for what they "had" or "owned", for a better their social status, and
in general earn more whilst doing less. Now the leaders and the people in
control of our society are not like the strong and wise leaders of old
times, whom interests were to help and support the village. The people who
are in charge now are the owners of large companies, or people paid by
those large companies (politicians). The only worry of these people is to
generate a higher income for those companies, and to make sure all the raw
materials and cheap labour for producing the goods are available
constantly. The same people who have big companies and power produced by
their industries proclaim themselves leaders of society, and members of
their governments. They are the same people who write the laws in society,
the same people who decide to continue massive deforestation and the same
people who give orders to take precious materials out of developing
countries by force. They founded countless projects into developing the
necessary works to burn fossil fuels and cause massive damage to the
environment. They used slavery and brought people from Africa to work for
free in their factories and farms. It is calculated that two million black
African slaves died just in being captured and shipped to America…however,
laws at the time supported this conduct and this was perfectly “legal”.
The leaders of society, who were making
huge amounts of money from this, were the same ones who decided the
direction and thus, the conduct of that society. They were not looking out
for members of society of the wellbeing of the nation, or what was
"right". They were only interested in keeping the ball rolling, the
factories functioning, and technology becoming ever more sophisticated so
as to be able to make even more money…in short, a radical change in the
way society functioned! In this new culture, people have lost their
connection with nature and mysticism. All the morals which make us "human"
have been discarded in the pursuit of profit for the elite. Moreover, it
is being covered up in every way possible that the people who are in
charge of our society are the very ones responsible for its decline. These
pioneer businessmen who control society created governments and economic
systems designed to enslave people. Hence, these people would form part of
an economic chain, which benefits only those on the top of the pyramid.
They have made our society very imbalanced. This new cultural direction has morphed
into an unjust, unwise and unspiritual one. We are meant to believe that society can
only be like this, and has always been like this and that our leaders are
wise and justice is done in our courts. The fact that more is not being
done to help third world countries is not so just by chance. The
exploitation of resources obtained for prices next to nothing in
developing countries in Africa and South America is absolutely part of the
economic system. This system was created by our leaders and shapers of our
present society, whom we support by votes, consumerism and by a lifetime
of hard work and submission. Since then, our culture has continued to
develop in the same way, we believe that it is right, wise and "how it
should be" (like the father figure in a family). The fact that we have
been born into and educated in this culture means that it shapes us as we
are. "When you are born into a
culture, you accept it as yours, and its values become your values…it’s
the way it works”… (Even if they are
wrong). What I like most about travelling is that
one has contact with people from another culture and can free himself from
his own culture. One becomes immersed in the way that other people
interpret life. From the cradle, we accept the culture we are surrounded
by as the right way to be, and believe with pride that we are part of the
correct group of people. It is how “culture” works: culture shapes us to
believe and accepts its rules, it casts us to gear on it. If you are born in Madrid for example, you
accept that it is "normal" to: wear nike trainers from the age of 12
(although nowadays baby's are wearing nike booties…!), to have a bicycle
so you can go and cycle in the park with your friends, to go to school
from 9am till 1pm and then 3pm till 5pm, go for a 2 week holiday on the
beach with your family, to have a cake with candles to blow on your
birthday, to brush your teeth at least once a day, to have a girlfriend at
15 or 16 years of age and around then have your first sexual experience
and at 18 to continue your studies at college or start looking for
work. You would also be accustomed to shaking
hands with people you meet and kissing each cheek of closer friends and
family, liking football and other popular sports and maybe reading the
occasional book…. However, if you had grown up in a village south of
Harare in Zimbabwe, the normal thing there would be: that your father had
2 or 3 wives, that people smoked marijuana openly almost all day long for
spiritual reasons, that your family and extended family played drums at
community ceremonies, that yourself and your sister had to walk 3
kilometres to go to school, and that you ate "sadza" (maize powder cooked
with water) twice a day - sometimes with meat if you were lucky, but most
of the time with vegetables. Your uncle, grandfather or other elder person
might be a "spirit medium" who would conduct the ceremonies of drum and
mbira playing, and that when you were 16 years of age you would undergo a
"coming of age" ritual, where you would travel into the mountains for a
short time with your grandfather who would show and tell you the stories
of all the ancestors and the names and shapes of all the spirits that
would accompany you throughout your life. All this is considered "normal"
and "correct" in the Shona culture. If you had been born in a Pre-Columbian
culture, you would believe that the normal thing would be to wear parrot
feathers in your hair and to tie your penis up on your waistline. Also, of
course, to smoke marijuana and chew cocaine leaves in order to be in
contact with the spirits. This would be the "normal" and "correct" thing
in this society. If you were born in a village in North
India, the "normal" customs of the people there would be; …
…etc. Everything is in culture. There is no good
or bad without culture, as it is the "social guide" that includes our
ethics, morals and ways of thinking and behaving…even the way we
appreciate life. There may be some sense in the comparison
between humans and computers made before. When we are born, we are blank
like a computer is after it has been formatted but does not contain any
information. We need the "software" called culture to give meaning to our
lives and to show us how to exist. It is not just the gain of knowledge,
but also the way to express it and a guide to how we should perceive
reality. And now, let’s take a look at the western
culture…There are politicians, there is a president or King, also both
from a certain political orientation, and there are large private
companies who directly or indirectly control the fate of the country's
economy and its political orientation. In our societies, politicians are
what makes and breaks the laws. They make or break them depending on what
suits them best, not on what suits the people best.
It is true that every 4 years a democratic
election is held "freely", but in Spain for example the options are: PP or
PSOE. Although the elections are free and fair and there is a choice of
two main parties the principles and foundation of these two parties are in
fact the same: the greatest economical profit attained for as less as
possible. In our culture now, profitability is the goal, the start, the
race and the finish. Politicians are just aiming to gain more
economical profitability and power.
Our society and culture are not orientated towards the wellbeing of
the individuals of which it is made, or towards the natural resources and
habitat… They are orientated towards "more economical profit for less
cost", and that "cost" is us and
the planet. The continued fight of different political parties is all
a story, which entices us to believe that we have our say and that there
is someone to blame when things go wrong. In fact, the orientation of the
various political parties do not matter and the goal is the same for all
of them. What we need is a change, we need to
integrate new values into our culture, to make it better for us and our
surroundings, not economically profitable for the price of human misery.
The profit that is made gets pocketed by that 1% of the population and
little is spent on the improvement of our society.
It is important to remember that this is
not our fault. The politicians and their advertising campaigns are paid by
the large private companies or holdings, which are the real motor of
avarice and corruption in our society. It is not our fault because our generation
has been born into this society, we have accepted it as our own and the
correct one, along with all its social values. Even so, now people are
starting to realise that things are not right, and the society is corrupt.
When you are part of a certain culture or
way of life, it is very difficult to distance yourself from what you know,
and to see its “defaults” and be critical. For that to be possible, one
needs to become much more aware of what is happening around oneself and
how the world works. Culture is like a big cloud and floats
around in this way depending on what is the air temperature around it. Our
cloud was guided by the winds of people who wanted to get rich quickly and
only cared about their own personal gain. The wisdom of ancient shamans
and chief figures has been replaced by immoral leaders, whose primary
interest is not the benefit of the town/village/country, but that to
protect and develop the power of large private companies and corporations.
Around the year 1850, there was a massive
industrial revolution which changed how we live immensely. One cannot
blame the people who started this revolution for the way things are today,
as nobody knew where the industrial revolution would take us. Nothing like
this had ever happened in the whole history of humanity. We can look at
our past and see what has happened and call it history, but nobody can
know what will happen in the future, even though now, we are making the
future and modelling the culture of tomorrow.
The people responsible for what is
happening are the directors of those big corporations and politicians who
are in power, greedy, and possess riches contaminated with the suffering
of at least 4 thousand million other people who live in a state of
absolute misery. Now that we are conscious of what is
happening, why and who is causing it, we are aware, and are now also responsible. Now that we know how our leaders should
be. Now that we know that our culture could
have been wise, we could have evolved in other ways, in terms of love,
spirituality and not have been corrupted by the greed of men without
hearts. Before, we were not conscious… but now we
are. (Or at least we are on the way to becoming
conscious…) Now that we know how our culture has
evolved and how it does evolve, we can change the direction of how it will
evolve in the future. We need to remove those vultures from their nests of
gold created from the suffering of 50% of the population who are at this
very moment in poverty. Knowing and being conscious of how these
people influence our culture frees us from its influence and allows us
freedom of choice. Our culture changed from the top down, for
the benefit of those on the top. From there, it slowly extended downward,
changing morals and values. These people have dominated our society,
making us believe that what they decide is "good" and "normal" while at
the same time it was only benefiting them, creating a society without
human values or love. A pyramid system, is a system in which the
wider base works and produces, while the small proportion at the summit
benefits from it infinitely. If you turn on the T.V at dinner time you
would probably catch a story that sounds like this: "The civil war in
Congo is worsening, there are 14 years old children who are armed and have
grown up inside an army without any family values, modelled into
"terminators". The war has produced 4 million deaths so far including the
military and the civilians (…who are the same, local lives). In this way
they (news and the politicians who control the news channels), brainwash
us into believing everything is under control and it happen because locals
wanted independence from another group. Then the government and the U.N
say that they are going to intervene and try and stop this violence…..but
this carries on for years and years, because actually the civilians are
dying because they are trying to resist being invaded and their resources
being destroyed. Their corrupted government do allow this because of deals
with the so-called “developed” countries. And this is all around Africa,
south America and Asia. This is nonsense, as we all know that the
main reasons for a powerful country to send its army into a poorer third
word one is not to help the local
people, but to "make an agreement" or "loot" the natural resources
found there, such as crude oil, diamonds and other raw materials. These
are again the actions of big corporations to gaining more power. Those
manage our society in this way. We all know this, and we take this as
“normal”. They have succeeded in educating us that it is part of our
society, and that these things must happen.
So, you carry on having your dinner, and it
doesn’t make you feel sick to know that millions of youngsters don’t know
what love is. They never have been shown love, because of others greed of
gold, diamonds and oil. But you know that this is not right because
somewhere, inside you, there is still a faint tick-tack, tick-tack,
tick-tack…from an almost extinguish heart that, in occasions, makes you
feel pity and compassion for the others. But yes rarely and occasionally,
so you carry on arguing at the table with your parents because you want
the last smartphone so you can chat with your friends. Or arguing with
your wife because she doesn’t give you what you need from a woman because
probably you don’t give her what she needs from a
man. Where is the Love in our lives…?. Love is
probably the most important human value. Where is it in our society? In
some homes, yes thanks, that the parents still feels the natural love for
their kids, and between friends, but in society, it is not present.
Neither is it present in politics, in the police, in schools, in
hospitals, public transport, at work… although all of these things are
organs of our society…but there is no love in them. They supposed to help
individuals, to serve the citizens…but it is not. In many cases, these
institutions are in fact far restrictive, controlling and manipulative.
Society is not orientated towards the happiness and well-being of the
people in it. But it should be, no?. Well, we live in a system designed to
benefit only those on the top of the pyramid. Let’s see: If culture is in fact a tool
that allows the facilitation of living and the survival of the species…
Shouldn’t it look after everyone in the community and make sure that
everyone is happy? Do you not think it would be a good idea to fully
educate everyone to help them live happily, balanced an in harmony…?...
Why is this not happening? …Why thousands of animal species
are on the brink of extinction? …Why are the earth and the sea
contaminated? …Why are there 4
thousand million human beings in a state of “official” misery? …WHY?... Because the tool "culture" has
been manipulated by that 2% of the population which accumulates 50% of the
words wealth. Now 50% of the population survives on 1% of the world’s
wealth,. If they don’t survive, they die. If they die, it’s because they
couldn’t survive… every day 10 000 people die of hunger…they couldn’t
survive anymore. But this is not new, we are fed up of all
this news, and even so, we continue to see this as "normal". It is
socially accepted. We know that culture is not a "natural" state, in the
sense that it doesn’t grow from nature. It is a cloud of knowledge
accumulated over our existence as a species to help us to survive… It is
created by men, not something we are born with… There are many cultures
nowadays, but not nearly as many as there were for many have been
extinguished. Understanding culture will free us from
it. This time we are conscious. This time, more
and more people become aware of this reality. This time, we are going to
remodel our culture. This time, we are going to choose how we want to
live. This time we are going to choose how our children are educated. This
time, we are going to choose how we look after the planet. This time, we
are going to choose how we will look after people from other ethnic groups
in the world…This time, let’s get it right, this time we are going to
decide the course of our lives. Our culture has changed. I don't know
whether it would be right to call it evolution or “un-volution”, because
instead to go upwards, we went downwards. Our culture has changed from the
top and for the top. From the top, it extended downwards. The pyramid
structure benefit the people at the top, changing the morals and values in
the society for their needs. …We are going to initiate a change in our
culture from the bottom to the top, and for those who are at the bottom.
We are that 98% , and above is 2% of the world’s population benefiting
from all the economic power. About the people in the top…there will be no
more tops, no more pyramids. We are going to build a circular or even
better…and spherical system, in which everyone will be at the same distant
from the centre. The centre will govern the society in order to exist and
develop a better equanimity life for all the
individuals. There will be no more all-powerful elite
deciding the fate of millions for their own benefit… and we are going to
achieve this without chaos and anarchy. We will need an uncorrupted form of
government, we will need the police, a healthcare and an education
system… for these
institutions are not wrong, they are just functioning in a corrupt basis.
In this new culture, these things will have to be mended from the inside
out, for the benefit of everyone. … HOW DO WE MAKE THIS
CHANGE? Up until now, most cultures (especially
western cultures) have suffered from changes unconsciously, without
realising it, due to technological advances through which we lose our
"humanness" and spiritual connection with the earth. Now that we are aware
of this, we are able to change our reality, our society, from how it has
been for years. We can make it a product of this new awareness we have, we
can make it better. Before, it was the consequences of
greediness and ignorance. Now it’s going to be the result of love and
wisdom. Before it happened and was bad, now we are
going make it happen and it will be good. How are we going to change our culture from
the base of the pyramid? Using the metaphor of the cloud we looked at
before. Culture, we said, is like a cloud, without roots, adrift and
vulnerable to powerful winds. We need to change the course of this cloud:
before were the greedy winds, but now will be the wise and fresh ones.
Society is made up of us, for all of us; together we can change ourselves,
and in doing that, our culture will change automatically. We have to unite, reclaim our power and
decide how we want things to be in our society. We have to unite and to
guide our culture, our lives, and first, we have to unite in
thought. But, if you ask me: "What can I do now to
make things better?" I would say: "Don't do anything; but continue living
your life normally, and carry out your responsibilities; towards your
family, your work, social roles, etc… But join this group". By joining you
are not compromised into doing anything, nothing physical or active is
required of you. What we have to do now, is read, understand and unite.
Unite in thought, create a group, a movement. Subscribe to our web-page or
simply consider yourself part of the group and follow the events,…and read
the "method". Understand how humans are, how culture was
created, how we are conditioned by our culture, how we can evolve, how we
can grow, how we can rediscover the power we all have to change our
reality… Now, the most important thing you can do is to unite and make
this group grow, because things like this take time to achieve. Maybe in a
few weeks there will be thousands of people, and after that we will be
millions. Understand the Blacksun movement, it will make us free to make
the correct changes. Once this group of people is big enough, we will have
power, the power to decide things about our life now and our future. You can't make power, power grows, like a
strong tree: first is the planting of the seed or cutting, then we have to
water it and look after it (luckily we have a sun!), and then we are going
to read and understand the movement to make this "tree" grow.
As we start to understand the philosophy of
this movement, we will gain an understanding of reality, and a security in
that we know what is happening in and around us. When this tree is big
enough,… it will give shade to everyone. No-one will be able to cut it
down because its roots are understanding, knowledge, love and humanity…
there is no illness or greed that can attack those roots, those pillars.
For this to occur,…we have to unite all of us, all of us that want a fair
life and a green planet for ourselves and the next
generations. We are that 98% of the population don't be
scared, all we have to do is unite as a group. Read and understand the
philosophy of Blacksun. Without violence, without protests, without doing
anything more than "watering our tree", that’s not prohibited, is it?!
Unite from your workplace, from the kitchen, from your car or your boat…
"water the tree" that will give shade to all of us,…How you water the
three…? “Knowledge” is the
water that will make us free. Reading and understanding the Blacksun
movement, it will grow inside you a new vision of life, the knowledge to
make the necessary changes and will give us the strength. The tree will
grow by itself, without violence or conflict, you only have to water it…
it’s a natural process, like evolution and
liberation. 5 steps… 1. BE AWARE, TO "KNOW" OUR SITUATION AND
HOW WE ARE. 2. BE AWARE, TO "KNOW" THE CAGE THAT TRAPS
US, OUR CULTURE. 3. BE AWARE, TO "KNOW" THE POWER OF A
PEOPLE IN UNION. 4. BE AWARE, TO "KNOW" HOW TO GET OUT OF
THE CAGE, AND BE FREE IN THOUGHT AND DEED. 5. BE AWARE, TO "KNOW" HOW TO CREATE A
HARMONIOUS ENVIRONMENT, A WISE AND FREE
CULTURE. The first step is to "know", to free
yourself from the ignorance and the idea that things are just "like this".
Become aware of the fact that your present situation, and the situation of
humanity is like this because of past actions, and those actions were
taken by powerful people fuelled by greed and power, not people who have a
heart. Know that what you do today affects how things will be tomorrow.
You are able to create a better future for yourself. The first step is to
realise that you are free to be what you want to be, you are free to
choose how you want to live. You are free in thought, free to choose a
better and cleaner way to create a more pleasant society to live in, and
free to look after our people and the planet…Why we have to allow them to
destroy and contaminate our planet?...for them to play in their mega-yacht
in the Caribbean?...for them to play sick games on the stock
markets?...for them to pile the wealth of the
earth? Take the first step and start the movement,
plant this seed in you, the seed of knowledge. The tree is already growing
in many of us. You don't have to believe in something you
can't see happening, just take one step at the time and you will see the
results. Blacksun is not just a social change, it’s
a personal journey and the evolution of the human
species. ![]() |
